Hi, I have a TV SET from Argos UK that came with an inbuilt freeview System. When I scan for channels, it searches for those in Europe those sometime it searched for local channels HERE (UGANDA). But I couldn’t view them. I think it was programmed to use signals from these areas. How can I view our channels here? I was reading this tool to scan free to Air Channels, this TV Set also has a USB Port but specifically for SERVICE PURPOSES! Help……. Thank you

The UCC DTV channels are currently on 474MHz and 594MHz mux frequencies. As long as the tuner embedded in that TV is a DVB-T2 tunner, then you should be able to pick up some FTA channels in and around Kampala

Big men we see face tv off air its only on star times decoder and yet you said local channels are free . Then how do I pay for non free channels on a set top box. Then all local channels which are not located in the Central are not available on the set top box. Channels like tv west, tv kodeyo, bunyoro tv, kakira and others

For an up to date listing of what is available on the the FTA Digital TV platform, visit:

You may want to contact Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) directly to find out face TV is not included

I got a DVB-T2 receiver and am testing it. Ok, I am testing it on TV, I scan and get very many channel but I only managed to watch UBC, lagos TV, Moziki, FireBird, Sporto, all the NTV, WBS, Bukede etc are scrambled. Do you have any idea why this is happening? Is it the equipments or DVB-T2 support issue? Can I use your script to get things right? Someone told me about digital Unscrambler firware upgrade, do you have knowledge about it?

It looks like you are picking the pay-TV channels and not the UCC Free-To-Air channels. The mux frequency for those unscrambled channels should be 474000kHz. MOZIKI, STV and the other channels you are seeing are on GoTV/Star network frequencies (674000 and 490000 KHz).

A couple of questions for you:

– What DVB-T2 receiver are using i.e. Model/Make? Can you manually set the multiplexes?

– What specific area are you tuning from?

– Are you using and indoor or outdoor Antenna?
